Configure Redport Optimizer to allow custom applications through satellite

The process is the same on the WXA-223 as with the previous iterations (WXA-112, WXA-122, WXA-203, WXA-213, etc)

(Applies to legacy interface on WXA-223, new modern interface available on WXA-223 has simpler/new process)


 

Navigate to the <Network> tab, under <Firewall> tab, and then the <IPset> tab.

 

1. Click <Add> to create a new IP set rule.

2. Add new IP set rules based on the IPs required to use the service of choice. Give each a unique ip name for each rule created.

3. For each new IP set rule add the domain.

4. Click <Save & Apply>.

5. Click on the <Firewall Rules> tab.

6. Click the checkbox for the DNS traffic Rule (not the Pass DNS traffic Rule).

7. Click <Save & Apply>.

8. Click on the <Network> tab and then click on the <DHCP and DNS> tab.

  Under the “Server Settings” section on the <General Settings> tab, add new “DNS forwardings”

10. Click <Save & Apply>.

11. Click on the <Resolve and Host Files> tab under the “Server Settings” section, and click the checkbox associated with “Ignore resolve file”.

12. Click <Save & Apply>.
